Is she cute and single? If not, it's not worth to hit her! :P

Seriously, isn't your OWN insurance supposed to take care of your OWN damage, no matter who's responsible?

And don't forget that car nowaday are all made of cheap plastic! You hit the rear and you break the front bumper as well!

15 years ago, I remember an accident we had in a 240, a Golf hit us when we were stopped at a red light. The 240 had a broken flasher and a scratch on a plastic trim around the trunk while the Golf was a total lost.

Not even close. If you rear end someone, you're 100% at fault (unless they cut you off, causing the accident), and your insurance will pay 100% of the damages to the other person's car. In a mixed-fault insurance, they determine the percentage of fault per participant, and each person's insurance pays that amount.

That's a first to me. Looks like it's different here that in Quebec. There's a no-fault law, every one is responsible for its own stuff. That's probably why it was so easy for me to get a cheap insurance back there. I'll get to bed a bit less ignorant tonight!

Well, my insurance is going up by a whopping $100/year. So I think I'll let them pay it out. If I have another at fault accident in the next 3 years, THEN they bend me over. This time I get an almost freebie.

Lucky break, good stuff. Just be careful in traffic! (I know, pot calling the kettle black!)
