As Dale said it was a great weekend, and finally I was not the only Volvo there, "cute eh Dale  " (inside joke). Also great to meet Craig and this better half, and he was very please with the "new" carbs he just installed on the 122.

My car ran great and gas mileage was even decent, especially after the gas leak was fixed.

Need to plan on a considerable Volvo presence next year

Dale, "Daytona" on the buttcheeks suggested "Superbird" somehow? I thought you knew a thing or two about cars... sheesh!

Just kidding: That's a '69 Dodge Charger Daytona, about 3x rarer than the '70 Plymouth Superbird. Built for NASCAR, the Daytona was used on short tracks and the Superbird was used on superspeedways, if the teams had the choice. The Daytona had a different nose cone and a different wing (nose cone was pointier at the edges and the wing was more upright), plus the obvious giveaway of the '69 Charger taillights.

Still, it's hawt.

And I can guess at what that inside joke is, Ian. How "cute" all the old biddys thought Dale's car is.

And what is it with you parking near Mavericks, Ian? You did it again!

Actually, it was all started by a pretty attractive young "biddy" who mentioned on more than one occasion how cute it was. The word came up more than a few times during the day.

Yes, many a fine lady referred to Dale's car as CUTE which was much more appealing than the guy who came up to me and said to me (jokingly) "...are you the sick demented bastard who built this car ..."

Sick and demented, what a wicked combination...typical Lethbridge comment (and as a taxpayer of this fine city I was appauled by the requests that were made of Dale's wife  ) - He was probably looking forward to the Monster Truck show. Next year the Canuck will join the group, and we'll get Greg convinced to bring out the Yellow Rocketship.

Great to meet everyone, and thanks again for the help with the SU install. It's a rare day when anyone else gets their hands dirty on one of my cars - usually the other way around.

I can attest to that... I worked on his car and didn't get MY hands dirty...

And yes, that fine young citizen would have been equally apalled had I jumped out of the car and ripped my shirt off. The request wasn't directed at anyone in particular and he was standing on my side of the car...
