I managed to come up behind a cop at 120 km/h in a 100, and didn't notice he was a cop till I was about ~20 car lengths behind him, at which point he had already noticed that I wasn't going 100...

He let me go

I'm glad he wasn't looking 10 minutes before that :D

Nothing unplanned or bad happened, except my airbag might not work anymore because of how hard I hit it when some blond tried to sandwich me between a guardrail and her Explorer. It didn't help that I was already pissed at the prissy soccer mom with big glasses in her black Suburban that was blocking me from going faster than the speed limit in the fast lane.

Gas mileage wasn't great though, only 22ish, and I almost ran dry at one point... Eeeeeek.

Man a single scratch on that car would be a sin of unspeakable magnatude. I'm still in love with your car.

Greg, Laura, and I arrived safe and sound back in Lethbridge in 8 hours. There was a huge accident (a semi left the road at a high rate of speed and was crushed) that slowed things down a little. No friggin cops, but I did loose a heater hose (this morning when I started it up...not on the road, how's that for luck).

The best part of the trip home was the little white car managed to get 33 MPG on the stretch from Cranbrook to Brocket...or nearly double the mileage that I got on the way out.

The best part of the rest of the trip was meeting the "family" and getting to spend time in Dale's car. We'll see you all before the next meet for sure.

Just got home a half hour ago, held up by a 3 hour wait at the ferry coming into Revelstoke, plus the momentary panicked delay when I noticed (quite belatedly, considering how often I was checking my gauges before that) that my alternator wasn't alternating. A quick side-of-the-road fix and we were back on our way.

And I just got a call from Dale, saying that his starter refused to start once he got home and had to shuffle cars around.

Plus my one front brake is giving me serious grief. It got worse and worse throughout the drive, so tomorrow I'll be tearing into it to see WTF is happening there.

Sqealing like crazy, locking up early, pulling the car to that side, and other fun stuff. I haven't had much of a look at it, so it could be just about anything.

Shitty luck...but at least most of the troubles happened on the way home or at home, what are the chances. I got the inner fenders preped for later in the week - I think the set of new inners were about the same as the entire inner/outer set that Dale picked up. Welding sheet metal is sooo much fun.

My car just kept running better and better as the trip went on. When I started, I was still tracking down a charging issue after replacing a dead battery the week before. Gauge never read past half or ~13V. AFR gauge was reading all vauge and useless too. Now everything is all happy, including me! Apart from a few new squeaks and rattles (not surprising considering how hard we pushed the cars) she's ready to rock another 1500kms!

Thanks for the radar on the way home dale. Only went off once and that was the rcmp pulling over a prelude going the opposite direction. Nice peace of mind considering I was doing 25-60 over the limit the entire way home, and still got about 11.5L/100.

September dyno day???

Hope everyone had fun

The roads were awesome, and no traffic :D
No one had any major car problems that stopped the cruise.

Thank you everyone who participated, I will have many fond memories from PacNW 2007

Just figured out my mileages: average for the trip was 9.67 l/100km, or 24.3 mpg US / 29.3 mpg IMP. Peak was the Nakusp to Golden leg, which netted 9.12 l/100km, or 25.8/31.0 MPG. Not bad.

1870 km cost me $220.35

I haven't filled up since Golden yet, so I'm not sure what Golden -> Calgary got me. Edit - numbers altered to suit.

Ok, no one else speak of gas mileage, unless you drive a Volvord... :P I managed a tank of 22 and 24 on the way in, probably a couple tanks of 19-20, and a tank of 22 on the way back. Granted, to keep up/stay ahead of you guys, I had the throttle pinned about 95% of the time. Shows how much more efficient a turbo is for similar/more power.

:D Averaged 16.62 MPG
Who cares, I had a blast, and with the engine running so strong it was worth every liter and every $$$

My best, not ioncluding the final leg from Golden to Calgary, was 19.8mpg
the worst was 13.0 mpg but that is where I had the most FUN
