I'm sorry. I'm a hardcore animal lover. Things like this sicken me...when they say they have the animal's best interests in heart...no they don't! NOBODY CAN PROPERLY CARE FOR THAT MANY ANIMALS! I mean, for christsakes, I have two guinea pigs, a couple of fish, and over christmas I'm gonna have a big sweet black lab. (the boss's dog). Now, I realize I do not have the time and space for a dog of my own. I actually had my boss ask me if I could take his dog for three weeks in September/October...I told him no. I don't have the space or time to properly care for him for that long. I only don't mind the ten days over christmas since, uh, I'll be off half that time adn the other work days I can take him to the office.

...sorry...got off topic. Anyways, you would think that having your animals DIE as a result of your lack of care would make you realize holy shit something needs to be done! There are organizations out there that would help out! The excuse in this is that the couple fell on hard times, had to mortgage their home, bs bs bs. arrange something with the SPCA. Arrange something with cat societies, dog clubs, THEY DO EXIST. If you can not handle your animals, financially or time wise, you should do what is in their best interest! And in some cases, that is taking them to the humane society to find them a new home! or place an ad in the paper! free to a good home...come on!

Anyways, maybe it's the vodka, maybe it's just been a loong day at work, but I had to rant about it when I saw that article. It sickens me.

I love animals a lot more than I love people... just to be an ass, I pull over people in trucks with the dog unleashed in the bed. If it's a part of your family, it goes in the truck with the people - end of story.

My dog OWNS my car (in her mind anyway)...it's her outside home when I'm working on it...today she was whining to get in the car so she can curl up on the seats and crash while I chop the front end off. Deirdre refers to this behaviour as "supervising" how anyone could sleep through the racket is beyond me!

Back to the cutting.

oh yeah, when I had a dog, she knew who the car belonged to....her!

As far as dogs in the back of a truck goes...I actually got into a fight with that guy who wants me to move back to ontario so i can live with him...about that.

He wants a pickup truck. he says the pooch can be in the bed.

told him tough shit, my dog, my car. lol. even if the dog is on a leash, they still can be thrown around a bit back there. And with them being on a leash, the chance remains that they may get choked if you have to do any fast manouvers.

Thank you, I'll keep my dog in the cab, or get a damned car.

Nope...the Canuck is getting chopped up as we speak. New inner fenders and rear fender lower panels. They had a little rust, so out with the reciprocating saw etc. I'll post pictures later.

Craig

P.S. The Jag is going under the knife in the winter...anyone want a 1960 MK2? I'll be looking for an Amazon wagon next year.

back to the news!!!

http://canada.aol.com/articles/index.ad ... topstories

people are stupid. There was a fence, people just decided to cut holes through it. they are saying the tracks should be permanently blocked off or moved? why don't you just watch your children instead and teach them trains are bigger than you. The tracks WERE blocked off, it was called a fence that YOU cut holes into! As far as the move goes...um...I will bet you those tracks were there before that residential area.

Quote:
Piche said access to the tracks should be permanently blocked or, better yet, the tracks should be moved out of the residential neighbourhood. "It's not fair for those who are minorities and have no say. So as a mother, I speak up. I would like to see the railroads removed and I don't care how much it would cost the government to do that. When you lose a life, you can't replace back that life."

This was a quote from the mother. As I said, you knew there were train tracks when you moved there most likely. And stop playing the minority card for cryin out loud. If you are too much an idiot to properly supervise your mentally challanged son, don't go blaming everybody else. Blame yourself. I would also like to mention, a life wasn't lost. A foot was. She should consider herself blessed that that is all her son lost.
