Just a confirmation of the valve float I was experiencing. From AFR (Air Flow Research):

"Note:
Hydraulic roller cams typically experience valve float at 5800-6000 rpm because of their fast ramp rates. AFR suggests you upgrade your springs to AFR part #8032, 1.530 O.D. with higher spring pressures to reduce chances of valve float associated with rpm’s 6000 or higher."

Crane cam also documents a lot of problems with pushrod flex with upgraded valvetrains. I have fairly stout pushrods but I need to check exactly what they are, this could be the solutions and an easy fix

My valve springs are upgraded considerably but I am also running much larger 7/16" roller rockers = strong & reliable but a bit heavier.

Solution:
Redline now set at 5800 :D

Temporary solution, right Ian? Would be a shame to not rev that thing to it's potential...

Edit - even though RPM stands for Ruins People's Motors.

Edit 2 - and the 7/16" portion of the rocker has nothing to do with rev range, right? It's more the heavy 2.02 valves and the 1.7:1 rockers.
