Yeah, and I think the quality of the Magnaflow cats' substrate leaves a little something to be desired, or maybe it was the fuel I was running, or something. Roberta's car makes a puff or two of "cold cat stink" (kind of like "bitter beer face) when you first fire it up, but it doesn't even smell as bad as my V8 did at the best of times. Probably has something to do with the overlap in my cam, or something.
Come to think of it, though - my cats were NOT Magnaflow, exactly. They were another brand, but I'm unsure if they were owned by the same company as Magnaflow or not. I can't remember the brand name. I also forget if Athal has a "Magnaflow" cat in his 242 or if it was another brand - I don't remember seeing the Magnaflow script anywhere either time I dealt with that exhaust, but I also don't think his car stinks as badly as mine did.
So there ya go, I may have saved you some energy & money, even if I'm not saving the planet.
Edit again - you can always run race fuel in your car... that stuff is like car guy perfume!
