So my bov has a spring that is WAYYYYYYYYY too stiff, like it barely opens at a full 10psi dump.

This is really bad for my turbo.

is there any insight on how to make a spring SOFTER?

will torching the shit out of it work? cause im sure cutting and stretching will only make it stiffer (correct me if im wrong here)

thanks guys!

What BOV, and what turbo? You've got the BOV getting a signal from the intake mani, right? What engine?

I'll warn you right now, I may ride your ass about you wanting the BOV in the first place.

My brother had this problem on his hks one...and i've been noticing this a bit as well on mine but only at lower boost and it doesn't open for long enough. My brothers fix for that was to remove the spring and that has been working well for him it seems.

DOH!! #-o

the vac line was hooked up pre throttle plate...

I didn't figure this out until after I cut the spring. Now she wont stay closed at idle, so ill just shim the shit out of it, I always liked that high pitched sound anyways.

and I removed my mbc, it lost its screw so I taped it shut, aparently enough of a tape job to hold 10psi constantly. Raz would be proud of that one

besides, 5psi is nessisairy to break the new clutchnet clutch in, cause 10 was way too much.
