an idea for mounting the radiatior...

and the cross-bar between the frame rails... seems to have been in an accident sometime eh?

ah well, makes it easier to cut out/replace i guess.

any comments? ideas? this doesn't seem ideal to me.

haha nice! Looks like what i'm going to need to do!

i guess i'll move it as far back as i can towards the engine and see what i can fit in front of it...

I did also find some rust underneath where the tailgate is in the bottom corners so that will need to be taken care of too.

fitted a b230 intake... looks like it'll be a bit of a PITA because a bolt on the bottom TB block-off plate will hit the steering column. so i'm gonna toss it in the bbq after cleaning it and braze it on next weekend i'm down (2 weeks?)

Dare i ask what my next problem will be?

They're only problems if you think of the short-term. Just think next 'step.'

I-know, easier said than done, but remember: you WANT to do this right!! Hahhahah

wouldn't a kjet intake fit better?

Doesn't look like it to me, Athal - the plenum would whomp the master cylinders. I think an old school B21FT intake might work though - points the throttle body in the right direction, anyway. Modify the K-jet holes to take LH injectors like I've done a few times, and you're set.

ah, this head has k-jet holed jb welded with pennys/nickels in it :(

a b21ft intake i reckon would work the best.

Matt, do you have any info on mounting a fuel rail in the injector holes? it didn't seem to line up for me when i tried, and figuring out a mounting setup seemed fairly impossible.

I'm going to hole-saw a 3" hole in this manifold, braze in a tube, and braze a TB flange on said tube.

Done it a couple times!

Rail from the backside:

And my high-tech modification to the K-jet injector bung:

Drill to halfway through the original injector seal recess, and you're set.

Hot damn! That makes sense now, I never tried using the injector bungs....

If I still have that spare 405 kjet head.... Hmm

I am not using it. I am also not using most of the LH 2.2 sensors that came with the engine. If you need anything, let me know...

ordered paint supplies today, gonna play with some of the paintwithpearl.com stuff i've used before (with good results!)

let me spray a couple test panels before i decide on a colour, but expect somthing in the next 3-4 weeks as soon as i find a good cheaper black base coat. let's just say i'm going to try my hands at a lemon-lime chameleon colour with some flake, some whacky stuff, otherwise i've picked up some electric blue as a standby.

I use a fairly cheap (~~$80/gal) clearcoat as a base for the pearls and then will probably cover everything in a nice clearcoat when done. wish i could dig up some pics of the last bike i painted.

Dale: Thanks in advance, i'm going to dig through everything and see what i can come up with before i start bugging anyone too badly for parts, i figure if the b230 intake will work, i should use it. One thing i need to find is a 3" 960 throttle body.

i've spent ~~6k on everything so far, and probably have another 2-3 to go :S

I've got a B21FT intake as well, if you think that might work. I've got 3 960 throttle bodies. Unfortunately 2 of them are on cars currently being used and the other is on the intake Matt built for my B234 going in the 122.
