ordered bushings today, so my trailing arm design is finalized. new pucks are here for jigging the rear end properly. The only catch now is i've gotta fill that 1/8" gap that is left behind from the saw blade. So, i should have a rear axle mounted this weekend.

also ordered a b21/23 edis adapter. I'm planning on picking up my LH harness from the acerage this weekend too.

Also, i've decided to remount the engine, probably a half inch higher or so than it was, that will give me all the clearance i need. I'll hang it between the frame rails like the PV. I may need to clearance the d/s tunnel though.

got busy with Sol/folks today, so only managed to pull a 240 lh2.4 wiring harness from the acerage i had stashed away and got a fuel pump from a 760. I'm going to try running only the main pump for the time being, and replace with a walbro/whatever when it starts to burn out.

got a phone call from the 'rents, apparently there's some "Pulley type thing" and some "Bag of round rubber things with metal tubes" that cam in the mail for me :) but no paint stuff yet.

Should be able to get the axle all mounted up this weekend. Unfortunately, i do have to replace the two pinion bearings :( (due to my own clumsiness) BUT since i'm not changing anything, i should be able to get away with using the same shim pack, etc, less any differences in the bearings themselves.

This will also give me a chance to swap to a smaller mustang style flange (the explorer is 3.5") and save me some headaches with clearance.

I hope to fire the motor up by the end of next week.

As well, this is my second last day in fort mcmurray..... ever.... and i'll be back at school for 8 months.

Brazing with oxyfuel. I also am going to make some bolt-on bracing too as it is going to have some nasty vibrational stresses.

Why not get an aluminum mandrel and weld it properly...I can't see brazing working very well.

Mostly lack of skill. This is an interim thing until I learn tig welding. Plus, the bov flanges and stuff I've done like this have held awesomely. As well as the end tank on the kenworth ic.

guess i should add that this is the TB with a progressive linkage, as well, i pulled a 740 turbo throttle pedal, it looks like it'll work great.

got my bushing bits, so i'm making the trailing arms this morning.
